Background and Identification
The UE Megaboom is a cylindrical surround-sound speaker designed by Ultimate Ears. The device has the dimensions 8.3 cm x 22.6 cm and weighs roughly 877 grams. It is waterproof up to 1 m for up to 30 minutes. The technical aspects of the UE Megaboom include a maximum sound level of 90 dBA between the frequencies of 65 Hz to 20 kHz, two 2" drivers, and two 2" x 4" passive radiators. It contains a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that can last up to 20 hours and charges in 2.5 hours. A wired connection can be made with a 3.5 mm audio input, however, Bluetooth can be used as an additional option.
